Look closely and you’ll notice these boots employ the BOA® Fit System with M4 dial at the laces. You simply turn the dial for micro-adjustment – push in to engage, twist to tighten, and pull for fast release. With the exception of the 3D air mesh toe covering, the Astro Shoes use nubuck leather for the entire upper. Side panels are perforated. Thermoformed heel and ankle protectors are built into the boot’s upper to protect the rider during a gravity penalty on the bike or on the courts. A thermoformed cap on the inside of the toe is mirrored by a leather shifter pad on the exterior. OrthoLite engineers the X40 insole for on- and off-the-bike comfort that is cushier than a foul line dunk.
